We’ve Updated Our Terms of Service
We want to let you know that we’ve updated our PSN Terms of Service and User Agreement (“Agreement”) to improve your user experience. These updates are effective immediately/ from 14 December 2023. By continuing to use the PSN, you accept the updated Agreement.
What’s changed?
We have made several updates to the Agreement. Here’s a summary of the most important changes:
· Updated requirements to provide accurate and complete information about yourself and your account – Sections 6.2, 6.3 and 6.4.
· Updated the definition of “Authorised Systems” – Section 7.
· Clarified terms of access to Products, content or services offered by publishers or entities other than us – Section 8.3.
· Updated steps you should take to safeguard your account and our account security settings to prevent unauthorised payment transactions – Sections 9.3 and 9.5.
· Updated requirements to explain the Agreement to Child Family Members – Section 10.4.2.
· Updated actions we may take if we believe that your Child may be in distress, including directing you to third party services for assistance – Section 13.4.
· Clarified information and processes relating to your cancellation rights upon purchasing any Product – Sections 15.2.1 and 16.2.
· Updated restrictions on the use of viruses, spyware or automated software (such as bots or scripts) – Section 20.3.
· Updated the definition of “Virtual Items” and restrictions on the use, collection and transfer of Virtual Items – Section 20.16 to 20.18.
· Updated policies in relation to our conduct of sales offers and promotions, which may be subject to additional terms and conditions – Section 20.19.
· Updated actions we may take if we have evidence to conclude or reasonably believe that you have violated the terms of the Agreement or if your account has been compromised – Sections 5, 24.1.2, 24.3 and 24.4.
· (For consumers based in New Zealand and who are acquiring any Products in trade) Clarified applicability of relevant legislation – Section 25.5.4.
· (For consumers based in New Zealand) Updated notice setting out your consumer rights and remedies under New Zealand laws – Section 32.2.
While we have listed out the key changes in the summary above, you should carefully review the revised Agreement in its entirety so that you understand all the changes.
