The first line of offence

Our arsenal has expanded

Primary weapons and armor

There’s more than one way to zap a bug – and Super Earth’s weapons technicians have added even more. Via Premium Warbonds, there’s eighteen additional primary and support weapons to add to your arsenal, including stun grenades and throwing knives, grenade pistols, crossbows and even a handheld flamethrower known as the ‘Crisper’.

Armor

There are also 13 new armor sets to unlock via Premium Warbonds. They come complete with matching capes and player cards and include unique perks like resistance to fire or arc damage, or increased melee damage. Not only this, but several additional armor sets have also been made available through the Super Store.

Support weapons

Beyond your trusty primaries, Super Earth Command now has additional support weapons to unlock through requisition. These include the Quasar Cannon, Airburst Rocket Launcher, Commando Launcher and the Heavy Machine Gun.

Hostile Environments

The landscape has transformed

Planetary biomes

The march towards freedom has dispatched Helldivers to ever more exotic locations in the galaxy. Emerge from your Hellpod into haunted swamps choked by fog, frozen boneyards filled with titanic alien remains or desolate burning deserts.

Weather systems

Planetary conditions have become hard to predict. Blizzards, acid storms, volcanic activity, ionic interference and even fire tornados can now descend on your squad without warning. Each represents a distinct hazard, raining lethal projectiles from above, reducing visibility, altering weapon functionality, and blocking your access to stratagems.

Know the enemy

The threat has heightened

Evolving enemies

Reconnaissance indicates that our adversary is adapting. New enemy types have been sighted on planets across the system. On Terminid Control systems, these include a flying bug species known as a ‘Screecher’, giant underground tentacle creatures known as ‘Impalers’ and a new more armored species of Charger.

Gigantic walking machines known as Factory Striders have also been sighted on Automaton Control systems. These enormous hulks are not only imposing and well-armored, but they’re also capable of deploying additional enemy units onto the battlefield.

Mission types

In order to execute the fight for freedom, new missions and new targets have been identified by Super Earth Armed Forces. These involve taking on large scale enemy citadels filled with high levels of enemy threat, evacuating Super Earth colonists from dangerous locations, destroying enemy artillery and refuelling ships for the armada.

Difficulty levels

Increasing threat levels across the galaxy mean that Super Earth Armed Forces have been forced to designate a new mission difficulty. The bravest and most democratically unflappable Helldivers can now brave the level 10 ‘Super Helldive’ to prove their valor beyond all others.

Invest in democracy

The armada has strengthened

Ship upgrades

Super Earth’s top boffins have massively expanded the scope of development for your Super Destroyer. Tier 4 and 5 upgrades are now available to expand the capabilities of your interstellar base of operations, increasing efficiency across all operations, with faster deployment of weapons, orbital artillery and tactical Eagle strikes.

Ranks

In recognition of Helldivers’ continuing commitment to democracy, new ranks have been made available to unlock as levels increase, including Hell Commader and Super Private, because if there’s one thing Super Earth will always recognize, it’s your sacrifice.

Patterns

As part of recent Premium Warbonds, Super Earth’s weapon’s specialists have made available a new range of purely cosmetic upgrades for your equipment that will be sure to dazzle both the enemy and your fellow Helldivers.

You can now requisition custom paint jobs for your Drop Ship, Hellpod and the Patriot and Emancipator Exosuits.

Superior engineering

Our technology is advancing

Exosuits

When you’re up against the odds, you can now call down either the Patriot or Emancipator Exosuit to even the odds. These huge walking tanks are built to deliver democracy deep into the heart of enemy strongholds: the Patriot, armed with a heavy machine gun and rockets, and the Emancipator armed with dual Auto Cannons.

Balancing patches

Super Earth’s weapons development team never rest (contractually, it’s expressly forbidden) and continue to refine the Helldiver arsenal. As such, many of your favourite weapons are now better fitted to our environments, some with greater explosive yield and others with higher magazine capacity

Disclaimer: due to cost-optimisation and resource shortages some weapons may have reduced yield, capacity or ammunition stocks. Your understanding is appreciated.

Turning tides

The war is evolving

Warp Lines

Logistical Warp Lines have been the unsung heroes of the war effort to date – but no more! We’ve now made these Warp Lines visible on board all Destroyers so that you can co-ordinate your efforts with those of our brave logistical engineers, ensuring swift liberation of the most vulnerable planets and restoring galactic control to its rightful stewards on Super Earth.

The Meridian Super Colony

In recent months, Super Earth witnessed the terrifying development of a so-called ‘Super Colony’ on Meridia. For reasons unclear, this once beautiful environment was transformed into a bug-infested nightmare – though SEAF’s ingenuity and bravery succeeded in reducing the planet to naught but a black hole, we remain vigilant, sure that new, even more deadly threats will emerge.

The Galactic War

Helldivers, things will never be the same. The declaration of The Second Galactic War means that stakes have risen – the threat to our way of life is ever greater and the lengths to which we must go that bit longer. This means more complex missions lie ahead, more crucial operations that will decide the fate of our armada, and ever greater rewards to be reaped by our brave Helldivers.
