When you first use your PULSE Elite™ wireless headset with your PS Portal, you need to pair them. Make sure you’ve completed initial setup of your PS Portal before pairing.

When you turn on or turn off your PULSE Elite wireless headset, the status indicator blinks to show the battery level. If the indicator blinks red, the battery level of your headset is low or empty.
You can charge your headset from any compatible USB Type-A charging port using the included USB cable.

You must mount the PULSE Elite charging hanger to a vertical surface before you use it to charge your PULSE Elite™ wireless headset.

If you’re having issues with your PULSE Elite wireless headset, try resetting it. Resetting won’t affect any PlayStation Link™ or Bluetooth pairings, or audio settings.
Your headset might be out of range from your console, or another electronic device might be causing interference with your wireless router.
Updates for your PULSE Elite wireless headset and USB adapter are added when you update your PS5 console system software. Make sure your headset and adapter are updated to the latest version available. When there’s a new update available, follow the on-screen instructions.

Make sure you insert and position your PULSE Explore wireless earbuds into your ears as shown below.
Pick the earbud tip size that best suits your comfort and provides a good acoustic seal. Choose your favorite out of four sizes included in the box. The earbuds are pre-attached with a pair.
To check that you’re using a good earbud tip size for you, try the following:

You can use a second PS Link USB adapter to set up another PS Link connection to a USB audio device without having to unplug your first USB adapter.
A new, standalone USB adapter isn’t paired to your device out of the box, so you first need to pair them.
When your PS Link device is paired and connected with your PS Link USB adapters, you can easily switch between PS Link connections.
Reset your PlayStation Link™ USB adapter if you’d like to clear all PS Link connections.
You can reset your USB adapter from any USB Type-A charging port.

You'll need to pair your media remote to your PS5™ console before you can use it:
The media remote allows you to navigate your PlayStation®5 console and access media and apps without a wireless controller.
The PS VR aim controller is a Bluetooth® device. You’ll need to pair your controller when you use it for the first time and when you use it with another PS4™ console.
With your PS4 console on, connect your controller using a micro USB cable*, then press the 2 PS button. Your controller pairs with the console and turns on. After you’ve paired your controller, you can disconnect the micro USB cable and use your controller wirelessly.
*The PS VR aim controller is not supplied with a micro-USB. Use the micro-USB cable for your DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller.

PlayStation Portal remote player
Here’s some basic information about your PlayStation Portal™ remote player.
During Remote Play, your PS Portal lets you enjoy the same key features of the DualSense™ wireless controller that you use with your PlayStation®5 console. Your PS Portal responds to your gameplay in the same way as your wireless controller.
A) Directional key
Highlight an item on the screen.

During Remote Play, this button functions the same way as the create button on your controller.
C) PS button
After turning on your PS Portal, press the PS button to unlock the lock screen.

Mute or unmute the mic during Remote Play.
If the mic isn’t working during Remote Play, check to make sure that this button isn’t on mute, or that the mic on your headset or earbuds isn’t muted.

During Remote Play, this button functions the same way as the options button on your controller.

Before starting Remote Play, turn on your PS5 console or put it into rest mode. Make sure the following settings are configured on your PS5 console. These settings are saved until you change them.
If your Remote Play connection is unstable, visit the guide below.
On the home screen of your PS Portal, tap the portal or press the cross button. Your PS Portal connects with the PS5 console you used previously, and Remote Play starts.
During Remote Play, open the quick menu and then select Disconnect.
To put your PS5 console in rest mode when Remote Play quits, turn on Put the Connected PS5 in Rest Mode and then select Disconnect on your PS Portal.

To use a different PS5 console for Remote Play, take the following steps. If you’re currently using Remote Play, you’ll need to quit first.
You can enjoy Cloud Streaming (Beta) on your PS Portal.
You need to take the following steps before you can stream games on your PS Portal.
From the home screen, open the quick menu, and then select Settings.
Select Cloud Streaming (Beta).
On the screen that appears, turn on Cloud Streaming (Beta).
The lock screen appears. Press the PS button to unlock the lock screen and display the home screen. From the home screen, you can select between Remote Play or Cloud Streaming (Beta).
If you turn on Cloud Streaming (Beta), Home appears on the quick menu. Select this to return to the screen with the options to select Remote Play or Cloud Streaming (Beta).
The following functions aren't available when streaming games on the PS Portal.
* You may be able to voice chat or use messages if a game provides these features. You can also use PS App to manage your friends, check trophies, voice chat, or use messages through PlayStation Network.
** Before you can stream CERO-Z games on your PS Portal, you first need to verify your age. To do so, acquire the game from your PS5 console, PS App, or the website for PS Store.
During a streaming game, the game's video resolution automatically adjusts depending on the quality of your internet connection. If you open the quick menu while streaming, you can select Max Resolution to choose the highest resolution it can be set to when automatically adjusted.
If your internet connection has enough stability and speed, selecting 1080p is recommended. If your connection isn't fast enough, or you're worried about stability while streaming, selecting 720p is recommended. To apply a new resolution, you need to restart the streaming game.
With your PS Portal, you can use any headsets or earbuds that are PlayStation Link-supported or compatible with a 3.5 mm audio input jack.
You can use PlayStation Link with your PULSE Explore™ wireless earbuds and your PULSE Elite™ wireless headset.
PS Link-supported audio devices can quickly switch between the audio of your PS Portal and your PS5 console.

To view and configure settings for your PS Portal, select Settings from the quick menu. You can change the following settings:

Always update your PS Portal and PS5 console to the latest version of the system software. By updating, you'll enjoy additional features, improved usability, and enhanced security.
Make sure that you’re signed out of PlayStation Network before sending your PS Portal to an authorized service center for repair. This helps prevent unauthorized access to your credit card and other personal information. To sign out, go to the quick menu and select Settings > Sign Out.
The types of after-sale services available vary by country or region.
Make sure that you deactivate and reset your PS Portal before you transfer ownership, dispose of it, or return it (where permitted).
