• If you don’t have a PlayStation Plus membership, redeeming this type of voucher gives you access to the PlayStation Plus membership plan and the payment plan listed on the voucher. 
• If you’re on a lower PlayStation Plus membership plan than the voucher you're redeeming, the voucher upgrades your PlayStation Plus membership plan.
• If you’re on the same PlayStation Plus membership plan as the voucher you’re redeeming, the voucher adds the listed time to your current PlayStation Plus membership.
• If you are on a higher PlayStation membership plan than the voucher you are redeeming, the voucher is converted to days of your current membership plan and added to your subscription.

Frequently asked questions

I have a PlayStation Plus Premium 24-month voucher. What will happen if I redeem it?

If you do not have an active membership:
The PlayStation Plus Premium voucher will provide you access to PlayStation Plus Premium for the 24-month period as denoted on your original voucher.

If you are an existing PlayStation Plus Essential or Extra customer:
As a current PlayStation Plus Essential or Extra subscriber, if you redeem the voucher, you will be upgraded to PlayStation Plus Premium, and the remaining days on your existing Essential or Extra subscription will be converted to PlayStation Plus Premium for the length of time equivalent to the monetary value of your remaining Essential or Extra subscription and applied towards your subscription.

For example, if you have 1-month remaining on your Essential subscription and redeem your PlayStation Plus Premium voucher, you will be provided access to approximately 2.5 weeks of PlayStation Plus Premium. If you have 1-month remaining on your Extra subscription and redeem your PlayStation Plus Premium voucher, you will be provided access to approximately 3 weeks of PlayStation Premium.

If you are an existing PlayStation Plus Premium customer:
As a current PlayStation Plus Premium customer, redeeming the voucher code will add 24 months of PlayStation Premium to your current PlayStation Plus Premium subscription.

What happens after my PlayStation Plus Premium 24-month voucher period comes to an end?

Your PlayStation Premium subscription continues unless canceled, and after your initial 24-month voucher period comes to an end, your subscription will renew automatically on to a 12-month subscription at the current PlayStation Store price. If your wallet doesn't have enough funds when an automatic recurring subscription payment is due, the balance will be automatically funded from the default payment method on record to cover the subscription fee.
