How to make purchases from PlayStation Store online

You can browse PlayStation Store content and make purchases online, on PlayStation®App, or on your PlayStation consoles.

  1. Go to PlayStation Store.
  2. Browse or use the search icon to find and select content.
    You can select add-ons and season passes by scrolling down to the Add-Ons section.
  3. Read the content description carefully to make sure you've selected the right edition. Also check the age rating, compatibility notices, and system requirements.
  4. Select Add to Cart (or Pre-Order) and then follow the on-screen instructions to complete your purchase.

  2. Search or scroll to find and select content.
    You can select add-ons and season passes by scrolling down to the Add-Ons section.
  3. Read the content description carefully to make sure you've selected the right edition. Also check the age rating, compatibility notices, and system requirements.
  4. Select the price, choose the right content edition, and then follow the on-screen instructions to complete your purchase.
  1. To download, select the purchased content in either Game Library or PlayStation Store, and then select Download.

  4. Select Add to Cart (or Pre-Order) > Proceed to Checkout.

  1. Select Add to Cart (or Pre-Order)  and then follow the on-screen instructions to complete your purchase.
  • Activating Require Password at Checkout adds an extra layer of security to your account.
  • Child accounts can only purchase content with suitable age ratings, and once spending limits are set by the family manager.

PlayStation Store information

  • You need to have an account for PlayStation™Network to use PlayStation Store services.
  • You can use an accepted payment method or your wallet funds to make purchases from PlayStation Store.

Types of content available on PlayStation Store

  • Games, add-ons, pre-orders
    This type of content needs to be downloaded.
  • In-game currency, consumables, skins
    This content usually doesn’t require a download.*
  • Season passes
    A bundle of content that may include future content releases. Any downloadable content included in a season pass needs to be individually downloaded.
  • Subscriptions
    Ongoing subscriptions give you access to content such as games and online multiplayer.

*Some game skins, etc. may require a download.
