How to share screenshots and video clips on PS5 consoles

How to share video clips and screenshots on PS5 consoles

  1. Press the PS button to go to the control centre, and then select the Recently created card.
  2. Choose a video clip or screenshot, and then select Share.
  3. Select a share destination or recipient.
    You can write a message to the recipient or add additional captures by selecting Screenshots and Video Clips.
  4. Select Send.
    A notification lets you know when your capture is shared.
  1. Go to your games home and select Media Gallery.
  2. Choose a video clip or screenshot, and then select Share.
    You can also choose multiple captures by selecting Select Multiple, and then selecting Share.
  3. Select a share destination or recipient.
    When you want to share with a party, you can choose an existing party or create a new one.
  4. You can write a message to the recipient or add additional captures by selecting Screenshots and Video clips.
  5. Select Send.
    A notification lets you know when your capture is shared.

  • You can share only one video clip at a time. You can share a maximum of four screenshots at a time. When sharing a video clip with a group, the time limit is 3 minutes.

How to edit video clips and screenshots on PS5 consoles

  1. Go to your games home and select Media Gallery to view all your captures. 
  2. Open a capture and select Edit. You can edit your captures in the following ways:

Crop
Rotate and frame your screenshot.

Add Text
Overlay text and write a message.

Set Trim
Remove excess time at the beginning or the end of a video clip. Before saving the video clip, select Preview to see how it looks.

Cover Image
Set a thumbnail cover for the video. 

You can also capture a point in the video clip as a screenshot by selecting Take Screenshot.

How to edit video clips and screenshots with Share Factory Studio

Use Share Factory Studio to further edit your captures by adding effects and music. To start creating your video projects, go to your games home and select Share Factory Studio.

  1. Search for Share Factory Studio in PlayStation Store. If it’s not installed, download and install the app.
  2. To edit a capture in Share Factory Studio, select a saved capture from your Media Gallery.
  3. Select More (...) > Edit in Share Factory Studio.
    When you're done editing, your edited capture is saved to the Media Gallery.

  • Content exported from Share Factory Studio is saved to your console storage and can be accessed in Media Gallery.
  • For more information and help, press the options button from within any editing screen and refer to the Share Factory Studio manual.
