Information about the out of warranty refurbishment process of your PlayStation console

The Out of Warranty (OOW) service is an exchange service that consists of SIEE providing you with a fully refurbished PlayStation® console in exchange for your faulty PlayStation® console upon payment of the OOW fee.

The OOW fee that is payable is inclusive of VAT and includes inbound/outbound shipping.

The OOW fee allows us to perform a high standard refurbishment process.

All refurbished consoles are processed by one of our qualified technicians/engineers in one of our authorised PlayStation Service Centres.

The refurbishment process is very labour intensive and all PlayStation consoles undergo a series of tests, measurements and diagnosis to test the functionality of the console.  All cosmetic parts of the unit are replaced and all major console modules such as the power supply, Blu-ray drive, hard disk drive and main circuit board are methodically evaluated then calibrated to factory standards.

The final step of validation is the soak process whereby the refurbished console is operated with additional stress applied over a pre-determined period.  This final screening is designed to ensure maximum console performance.
