Supported controllers and peripherals

For the best experience on PlayStation games for PC, you can use your PlayStation controller.

  • All PlayStation Studios games on PC support many input options including mouse and keyboard, as well as other game controllers. Specific features vary by title.

To pair your wireless controller with a supported device using Bluetooth for the first time, turn on pairing mode:

  1. Make sure the player indicator on the controller is off.
    If the player indicator is on, press and hold the PS button until it turns off. If a USB cable is connected to the controller, disconnect it.
  2. While pressing and holding the create button, press and hold the PS button until the light bar blinks.
  3. Enable Bluetooth on your device, and then select the controller from the list of Bluetooth devices.
    When pairing is complete, the light bar blinks, and then the player indicator lights up.

Your controller can be paired with only one device at a time. Each time you change devices, you must pair the controller with the new device.

DualSense wireless controller

Devices using the operating systems listed below or later support DualSense® wireless controller Bluetooth and USB connections. Once connected, you can use your wireless controller to control compatible games and applications.

Depending on the device, certain features of the controller might not be available.

  • The adaptive triggers feature is available when supported by the game. It isn’t compatible with Android-based mobile devices.
  • The haptic feedback feature is available when supported by the game and may require USB connection on PC. It isn’t compatible with Mac computers and mobile devices.
  • The built-in microphone and speaker are available on Windows PC when supported by the game. They aren’t compatible with Mac and mobile devices.
  • The headset jack feature requires a wired connection with PC and Mac. It isn't compatible with mobile devices.

Devices using the operating systems listed below or later support DUALSHOCK 4®wireless controller Bluetooth and USB connections. Once connected, you can use your wireless controller to control compatible games and applications.

  •  tvOS 13

You can connect a DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller to a Windows PC using a DUALSHOCK®4 USB wireless adaptor or a compatible micro USB cable.

Games troubleshooting

  1. Make sure you have the latest Windows updates installed.
    Click on the Windows Search bar and type "Check for updates".
  2. Update drivers.
    Make sure the drivers for your video card, sound card, motherboard, and processor are up-to-date. Visit the manufacturer’s website for more information. 
  3. Turn off SLI or Dual Monitors.
    If you are running two screens or two graphics cards in SLI, this may cause an issue with your game. Deactivate SLI and unplug any extra screens and restart the game.
  4. Check your internet connection. 
    Check your internet connection or game server status for any issues.
  5. Reinstall the game.
    Try uninstalling and then reinstalling the game on your PC.

In some games, you can submit an in-game crash report. This option appears when the crash occurs. You may also reach out to a game-specific community hub.
