Bluetooth adapters compatible with PS VR2 on PC

Find out which Bluetooth® adapters can be used when using PS VR2 on PC.

The following products were tested for compatibility on 07/20/2024, but operation is not guaranteed.

Please install the latest Bluetooth driver version from the manufacturer's website if the manufacturer provides a Bluetooth driver.

How to use an external Bluetooth adapter

If you’re using a built-in Bluetooth® adapter and want to use an external Bluetooth® adapter, follow these steps.

  1. Disable the built-in Bluetooth® adapter from Device Manager.
  2. Connect the external Bluetooth® adapter.

Having connection issues while using a Bluetooth adapter?    

  • Install the latest Bluetooth® driver from the manufacturer's website if the manufacturer provides a Bluetooth driver. 
  • Connect your external Bluetooth® adapter to a USB 2.0 port as far away as possible from the USB 3.0 port. 
  • Try using USB 2.0 extension cable* to move the external Bluetooth adapter away from the PC and place it in a location with good visibility. 
  • If you’re using an external Bluetooth® antenna, place it in a location with good visibility. 
  • If you’re using multiple Bluetooth adapters from the same manufacturer within close range, try using one Bluetooth adapter.
If you're still having issues, please try the following.
  • Try restarting Windows.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth® adapter, wait a while, then turn it back on and try again.
  • Try reinstalling the Bluetooth adapter driver:
    1. Open Device Manager and uninstall the Bluetooth adapter driver.
    2. Shut down Windows. 
    3. After a few seconds, turn on your PC.
    4. Install the latest Bluetooth driver.
  • Uninstall the PS VR2 Sense controller driver and unused Bluetooth device drivers:
    1. Open Device Manager.
    2. Click View from the menu bar.
    3. Select Show hidden devices.
    4. Uninstall the PS VR2 Sense controller driver and unused Bluetooth device drivers.
      If you can’t delete the driver, enter Safe Mode and try again.
    5. Restart Windows and install the latest Bluetooth driver.

Having tracking issues while using PS VR2 Sense controller?  

  • Install the latest version Bluetooth driver from the manufacturer's website if the manufacture provides a Bluetooth driver.
  • Connect your Bluetooth® adapter to a USB 2.0 port as far away as possible from the USB 3.0 port. 
  • Try using USB 2.0 extension cable* to move the Bluetooth adapter away from the PC and place it in a location with good visibility.
  • If you’re using an external Bluetooth® antenna, place it in a location with good visibility.
  • Make sure the PS VR2 Sense™ controller is charged. 
  • If you’ve paired your controller with a PlayStation®5 console, make sure the console is turned off.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth® devices. 
  • Make sure there are no obstructions between the controller and the Bluetooth® adapter.
  • If you're using WiFi, connect to the 5GHz band.
