What's new in Fortnite Chapter 2: Remix?

Welcome to Chapter 2, the Remix. The Island you knew is back, remixed and reimagined, with weekly location and loot drops inspired by the best of early Chapter 2 gameplay and some of the greatest music icons in history. 

In this time rewind, Snoop D-O-double-G heads up the Agency, the rap god Eminem sets up shop in the Grotto, hip hop princess Ice Spice lays claim to Shark Island, and the remix hits the finale with a celebration and tribute to the legend and icon, Juice WRLD. What's new in the Fortnite Chapter 2: Remix Battle Pass?

The Remix Pass comes to Fortnite packed with over 70 new in-game rewards. A shorter Battle Pass than usual, you can unlock all the Pass’ rewards in just four weeks. Grab the Remix Pass for 950 V-Bucks (or included as part of your Fortnite Crew subscription) and earn up to 1,000 V-Bucks by progressing through it!

Level up the Remix Pass by earning XP across Fortnite Battle Royale, creator-made islands, LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing and Fortnite Festival. Here are the nostalgically new Outfits in the Pass: 

  • Chaos Director (unlocked right away!): Chaos reigns.
  • 1-Ball: Sink all the right shots.
  • Undercover Skye: She’s got the Guff stuff.
  • Meowdas: One classy cat.
  • Dynamo TNTina: Strike a match and light the fuse.

What is the Fortnite Battle Pass?

Buy in-game, earn great rewards 

With Battle Pass, there are 100 tiers of great rewards to unlock in Fortnite Battle Royale every season. Simply buy in-game to start earning.

Cosmetics are no longer directly tied to reaching specific season levels and instead, Battle Stars are earned when you level up. You can then exchange Battle Stars to claim Battle Pass rewards in the order you decide for each tier. You can buy V-Bucks on PlayStation Store to purchase the latest Battle Pass in-game.

Fortnite Battle Pass FAQ

As you level up and claim rewards, more pages of the Battle Pass will unlock, offering new reward options to choose from. Want to claim a specific reward on Page 1 straight away? No problem. Would you rather hold on to your Battle Stars and level up some more to snag a reward on Page 2? The choice is yours!

Each page of the Battle Pass also has a special locked reward only available once all other rewards on that page have been claimed. Scope out your favourites and snag them first as you work to reach Level 100. After claiming all 100 Battle Pass rewards, you can keep exchanging your Battle Stars for a selection of sleek new Outfit Styles within the Bonus Reward pages.

Don’t own the Battle Pass? No worries, all players earn the same number of Battle Stars when they level and each page of the Battle Pass has rewards available for all players to claim as you play.

With a Fortnite Battle Pass, unlock in-Fortnite rewards by earning XP across Fortnite Battle Royale, LEGO® Fortnite, Rocket Racing and Fortnite Festival. 

Did you know you can also earn XP in certain creator-made games? Creator-made games that reward XP have an XP badge in their Discover screen description. Play the way you want to complete this Season's Battle Pass!

Amp up your Fortnite experience with Fortnite Crew

Fortnite Crew is the ultimate subscription offer for getting can’t-miss Fortnite content! Join to get everything below:

  • Battle Pass included for the full season — As a member of the Fortnite Crew, you’ll always have access to the current season’s Battle Pass!

What are V-Bucks?

V-Bucks are Fortnite’s universal in-game currency. Not only can you earn them through play, you can also buy them directly through the in-game market. Use them to purchase your all-important Battle Pass or Battle Bundle or, if you’ve got your eye on something in particular, you can spend them on a huge range of cosmetics in Fortnite’s ‘Item Shop’.

‘Save the World’ mode has its own great range of events and unlockable items. The Battle Pass, however, is exclusive to Fortnite’s free-to-play Battle Royale mode.

Battle Royale isn't the only place to earn XP towards your battle pass, though. You can also earn XP from missions in Fortnite Save the World.

Other new features

Zero Build Mode 

Without building, all players have the recharging overshield as their first line of defence in Zero Build. Slide downhill to avoid enemy fire or use mantling to get the high ground on opponents. Don’t forget to sprint between cover on your way to a Victory Royale!
