There is no difference between digital and disc retail versions.

What are the God of War Ragnarök difficulty levels?

  • Give Me Story
    For players who want to experience the story, with the least focus in combat. Very hard to die in combat on this mode (Easiest difficulty)
  • Give Me Grace
    For players who want story-focused gameplay with some focus on combat (Easy Difficulty)
  • Give Me Balance
    For players who want an adventure that's equally focused on story and combat (Normal difficulty, what most players will play on)
  • Give Me No Mercy
    For players who want a demanding combat experience (Hard mode - this is difficult/not recommended for players unfamiliar with our combat)
  • Give Me God Of War
    For players who want the game as difficult as possible, requiring god-like reflexes and strategy.
    This difficulty can only be selected at the start of a new game. This difficulty can be reduced mid-game, but not reselected. Once you go down in difficulty, you can't go back up without restarting the game. (The Hardest mode. Not recommended unless you are VERY familiar with GOW combat).
