What is the China Hero Project?

At PlayStation, we want to identify and empower talented and ambitious Chinese development teams by providing development, publishing and marketing support.

Game development support

Our experienced Shanghai-based production team provides best-in-class support for all of our China Hero Project developers. Our partners include Epic Games (Unreal Engine) and CRIWARE for development middleware support, Digital Hearts for QA support, and Vanguard Sound and Sound Machine for audio support, along with additional support on code reviews, recommendations and guidance from the PlayStation team.

Publishing support

In addition to providing funding toward the development of key titles, the China Hero Project provides support in identifying, connecting, and selecting the right publishing partners in Asia and around the world.

Marketing and promotion

China Hero Project developers can also leverage PlayStation marketing teams for promotional support. With the collaborative support of the Sony Interactive Entertainment team, games produced by the China Hero Project can be recognized by more players and business partners around the world.

F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch is a side-scrolling search-action game, featuring arcade-style combat and set in the uniquely designed Torch City. Face dozens of distinct enemy types each with their own weapons and attacks, all working together to bring you down.

Lost Soul Aside

An action role-playing game featuring fast-paced combat, beautiful visuals and a unique fantasy world. The story takes place in a fantastical world where technology, swords and magic co-exist, telling the story of Kazer, who accidentally combines with the "alien monster," Arena and embarks on a journey of redemption.

Convallaria

Convallaria is a new third-person multiplayer online shooter, featuring a unique action experience with a relaxed, bright art style and fast-paced combat. The intricate maps and diverse range of missions will encourage players to linger in the game and explore its huge open world.

Exiledge

A spectacular third-person shooter game featuring stunning visuals, a deep, emotional story and a rich cast of characters. Set on an apocalyptic planet, players will navigate the treacherous environment and face dangerous enemies in a series of thrilling missions.

Daba: Land of Water Scar

Daba: Land of Water Scar is a beautiful 'Souls-like' action adventure that tells the story of a puppet with a humanoid appearance exploring the ancient city of Guge during an imminent apocalypse. By doing battle with a range of horrific enemies he will unravel the story of both this ruined world, and himself.

Awaken: Astral Blade

A fairytale-style sci-fi action game with a unique feel, exquisite level design, and shocking boss battles. Step into the shoes of a mysterious girl called Tania and explore the ruins of an ancient civilization to reveal the truth about her destiny.     

Will-Less

Will-Less is a fast-paced action roguelike set in a cyberpunk world, featuring exciting action elements, high-definition visuals and amazing special effects. You'll play as one of several charming "conscious agents" using a variety of weapons and unique abilities to embark on a thrilling journey.

Evotinction

Set in the near future, a cutting-edge research institute has been taken over by an AI drone infected with a virus. There is no sign of human survivors and all contact with the outside world has been cut off. As the only survivor, your mission in this third-person stealth action game is to prevent the virus from spreading to the outside world.

AI Limit

AI Limit is an action RPG set in a distant future where civilization is on the brink of extinction. A strange substance known as "mud" is spreading, and monsters are appearing across the land. You'll play as regenerating warrior Arrisa, exploring the ruins of monster-infested cities in search of the truth behind the apocalypse.

The God Slayer

A new open-world action RPG featuring deep gameplay and an immersive story experience. Players will enhance their abilities through combat and exploration, with the ultimate goal of defeating enemies and saving the world.

RAN: Lost Islands

RAN: Lost Islands is a PvPvE game set in the Age of Discovery at the end of the 16th Century. The story takes place on a mysterious island in northern Japan. Players take on the role of castaways who must face off against bosses on their own or in a team, fighting against each other to claim ancient treasures and find a way out of this cursed land.

The Winds Rising

The Winds Rising is a story-driven action RPG following a girl from a small village as she embarks on a magnificent journey after encountering a demonic beast. Experience a smooth combat experience, an emotional and immersive narrative, and a vast, varied world to explore.
