“FIA Certified Gran Turismo™ Championships 2021” Competition
U.S. & Canada – North American Region
Competition and Entry Requirements
1. The “FIA Certified Gran Turismo™ Championships 2021” competition (“Competition”) is open to persons who meet the Minimum Age Requirement (as defined below) and who are residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia and Canada (“Entrant Countries”) except employees, agents, representatives, contractors or consultants of the Promoter (as defined below) and their immediate families or those with whom they are otherwise domiciled, the Promoter's associated companies and anyone else professionally connected with the Competition (“Entrants”). The Entrant Countries together form the North American Region.
2. The minimum age requirement for Entrants is 18 years old . In the case of legal residents of certain jurisdictions where the legal age of majority is greater than 18 years of age, Entrants must have reached such legal age of majority at the time of entry (the “Minimum Age Requirement”).
3. Entrants will be required to enter the Competition using their account for PlayStation™Network (“PSN”). Entrants’ country of residence will be deemed to be the country registered to their account for PSN. Registration for PSN is subject to acceptance of the PSN Terms of Service and PSN Privacy Policy. (https://www.playstation.com/en-us/legal/psn-terms-of-service/).
4. These Terms (as defined below) apply to those Entrants who are resident of the Entrant Countries.
5. Entrants may be required to provide documentary proof of their eligibility to enter the Competition. If an Entrant is unable to provide this proof when requested, the Promoter may disqualify that Entrant from the Competition and/or withhold their Prize.
6. The Competition opens for entries on April 21, 2021 ("Opening Date") and last entries must be before September 25, 2021 ("Closing Date"). See Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 for more information. The period from the Opening Date to and including the Closing Date shall be referred to as the “Competition Period”.
7. In orderto enter the Competition, Entrants must: (1) complete theGT Sport Mode registration form which shall be presented to Entrants who select the ‘Sport Mode’ within the Game; (2) select, during the Competition Period, the Championship events they wish to compete for prior to the commencement of each race; and (3) accept the Terms of the Competition. Each Entrant who follows these steps will be deemed to have made an “Entry”.
8. Entrants must enter the Competition in the manner and by the Closing Date and time specified. Failure to do so will disqualify that Entry.
9. The Competition consists of two (2) different championships (each a “Championship”):
a. FIA Certified GT Championships Nations Cup (hereafter referred to as the “Nations Cup”): The Nations Cup is a championship in which countries and territories will compete for victory. The country and territory of a player's affiliation will be automatically decided by the country/territory of their account for PSN. There are no restrictions on the country of origin of the cars that will be driven; and
b. FIA Certified GT Championships Manufacturer Series (hereafter referred to as the “Manufacturer Series”):The Manufacturer Series is a championship in which Entrants race using cars made by one type of manufacturer. Entrants will race to be the best racers for their manufacturer and will then race to beat Entrants who represent other manufacturers. Entrants shall choose their manufacturer from a predetermined list of twenty-five (25) manufacturers.
Details of each Championship are set out in Schedule 1 (Nations Cup) and Schedule 2 (Manufacturer Series), respectively.
10. This competition is only open to Entrants who own or have access to a PlayStation®4 or PlayStation®5 console and a copy of Gran Turismo™ Sport (“Game”) and have a current PlayStation®Plus subscription as of the Opening Date; Entrants must maintain such ownership or access to the console, game, and subscription throughout the Competition Period. By entering the Competition, Entrants accept and will be bound by these terms and conditions, including the terms set out in Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 (“Terms”).
11. PlayStation®Plus (“PS Plus”) membership is only available to individuals who have accounts for PSN with access to PlayStation™Store (“PS Store”) and high-speed internet. PSN, PS Store and PS Plus are subject to terms of use and country and language restrictions; PS Plus content and services vary by subscriber age. . Service availability is not guaranteed. Online features of specific games may be withdrawn on reasonable notice. PS Plus membership is continuous and will be billed monthly, quarterly, or annually, depending on the subscription purchased at the then current PS Store price, unless cancelled. 12. Each Entrant may only submit one (1) Entry per Championship. For the avoidance of doubt, races listed under each Championship racing calendar shall be at different times. It is therefore possible for Entrants to compete in both Championships and for the winner of the Nations Cup to also be part of the winning team in the Manufacturer Series.
13. It is prohibited for Entrant(s) to create duplicate accounts in order to compete, to increase their chances of qualifying or progressing through the Competition or to disrupt another Entrant’s performance during a race. It is also prohibited to have someone else competing on behalf of an Entrant, and to intentionally exchange positions during a race. In such events, the Promoter reserves its right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify such Entrant(s).
14. Competition winners are defined in Schedule 1 (Nations Cup) and Schedule 2 (Manufacturer Series) in accordance with the relevant Championship mechanic (each a “Winner”). Competition runners-up are defined in Schedule 1 (Nations Cup) and Schedule 2 (Manufacturer Series) in accordance with the relevant Championship mechanic (each a “Runner-Up”).
15. Prizes are as defined in Schedule 1 (Nations Cup) and Schedule 2 (Manufacturer Series), as applicable, and must be taken as stated and may not be deferred, transferred or re-sold. There will be no cash alternatives; however, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute any Prize with a prize of a similar value. All Prizes will be delivered to the confirmed Winner(s) and Runner(s)-Up by the Promoter. Entrants from Canada may be required to correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question at a pre-arranged, mutually convenient time prior to being declared a confirmed Winner or Runner-Up.
16. Each Winner and each Runner-Up may be required to pay tax on any Prize won in accordance with their jurisdiction’s tax legislation and will be responsible for any related tax liability.
17. Failure to claim a Prize by the time or in the manner specified will make a Winner’s claim invalid and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the Prize to the next eligible Entrants selected in accordance with the Terms. Where the Prize is time critical and a Winner needs to be found before the time to take up the Prize passes, the Terms may state the date on which the Winner will be contacted and the Promoter will contact such Winner at the email address provided by the Winner in the GT Sport mode registration form for the relevant Championship. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the Winner(s). If a Winner cannot be contacted or successful contact is not made on the specified date, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the Prize to the next eligible Entrants selected in accordance with the Terms. Unless otherwise specified, if the Prize is not claimed by the Winner in the manner and by any specified date, the Promoter is not obliged to award the Prize to the next eligible Entrant.
18. The Promoter cannot accept any responsibility for any Competition Entry, or any other correspondence related to the Competition, being lost or not being properly registered whatsoever as a result of any network, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt. No applications from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted.
19. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury which an Entrant suffers as a direct or indirect result of the Prize and/or the Competition. However, the Promoter makes no attempt to exclude or limit its liability for death or personal injury caused as a result of its negligence.
20. All conditions, warranties and representations expressed or implied by law or otherwise in relation to the Prize and/or the Competition are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.
21. If any Prize is found to be ineffective, faulty or damaged upon receipt, the Promoter must be notified in writing within seven (7) days of receipt, otherwise the Prize will be deemed to be accepted as received. This does not affect a Winner’s and/or a Runner-Up’s statutory rights (if any).
22. Each Winner and Runner-Up agrees to take part in any reasonable publicity required by the Promoter. To opt-out of such publicity, the Winner or Runner-Up should notify the Promoter.
23. Personal information which Entrants provide when they enter will be held and used only by the Promoter, its group companies, and its suppliers and contractors to administer the Competition and otherwise in accordance with the Promoter's Privacy Policy which can be found at: https://www.playstation.com/legal/privacy-policy/ and as expressly agreed by an Entrant.
24. The Promoter may, at its sole discretion, publish each Winner’s and each Runner-Up’s name on the Promoter’s website(s). Each Winner’s and each Runner-Up’s name will be made available on reasonable request to those individuals enclosing a self-addressed envelope marked ‘FIA Gran Turismo™ Championships 2021’ to the following address: Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC, 2207 Bridgepointe Parkway, San Mateo, CA 94404, United States within six (6) weeks of the Closing Date. If a Winner or Runner-Up objects to their name being published or made available, please contact the Promoter. Please note that the Promoter may be required to provide this information to a regulator.
25. In the event of any dispute, the Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
26. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel the Competition, in its entirety or in part, or amend these Terms at any stage if deemed necessary in its opinion or if circumstances arise outside its control (in the province of Quebec, Canada, it shall be with the consent of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux (“Régie”)).
27. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Terms or incorrect, illegible, fraudulent or other invalid or improper information has been provided, the Promoter may in its sole discretion refuse to process an Entry or fulfil any Prize awarded. If an Entrant fails to comply with these Terms, including Schedule 1 and/or Schedule 2, or uses multiple accounts and/or any automated system to enter, they will be excluded from the Competition and their Entry will be declared void.
28. The “Promoter” is: Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC, 2207 Bridgepoint Parkway, San Mateo, CA 94404, United States.
29. To the extent permitted by applicable law, these Terms shall be construed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and the contract between each Entrant and the Promoter shall be deemed to have been formed and performed in England.
30. Quebec residents: Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement
Schedule 1 – Nations Cup 2021
1. The Nations Cup 2021 FIA Certified GT Championships Online Series
1.1 Entrants shall enter the Nations Cup by playing in the Nations Cup Online Series set of races via the “Sport” mode within the Game. Entrants must select and confirm they want to participate in the Nations Cup prior to starting each race.
1.2 The Nations Cup Online Series shall be online only and will consist of the following:

1.2.2 Four World Series Events which will take place on the following dates:

1.2.3 GT World Series Showdown Event which will take place on July 24, 2021 and on July 25, 2021.
1.2.4 World Finals which will take place on November 5, 6 and 7, 2021.
1.3 Entrants of the Nations Cup Online Seasons shall be awarded points based on:
1.3.1 their final position in each race; and
1.3.2 the average driver rating of the Entrants they race against in each race.
1.4 Entrants must participate in races during the Nations Cup Online Series to gain points which shall be used to calculate their overall ranking. To determine Entrants’ overall ranking, points will be tallied at the end of the ten (10) Rounds under each Season, as follows (the “Final Score”):
Season 1: The Final Score is tallied from the Entrant’s best four (4) Rounds, out of ten (10) Rounds (cumulative from Round 1 to Round 10).
Season 2: The Final Score is tallied from the Entrant’s best four (4) Rounds, out of ten (10) Rounds (cumulative from Round 1 to Round 10).
Entrants may participate in any race, in any Round of any Season at their discretion. However, only the points earned in the last race of the day will count towards their Online Ranking for that Round. (i.e. if an Entrant competes in three races in Round 7 on June 02, 2021, only the points earned in the last of the three races will be counted).
1.5 Star Players
1.5.1 The following Entrants shall be eligible to register as a Star Player:
1.5.1.1 For Nations Cup Online Season 1: the sixteen (16) Nations Cup World Finals participants of the ‘2020 FIA Certified Gran Turismo™ Championships - Nations Cup World Finals’
1.5.1.2 For Nations Cup Online Season 2: the thirty-two (32) top-ranking players of the 2021 GT World Series Showdown Event.
1.6 Once an Entrant meets one of the conditions set out in paragraph 1.5.1 of this Schedule 1, they shall receive an in-Game notification, notifying them that they are eligible. Once they have received this notification, Entrants may register to become a Star Player by visiting gran-turismo.com. It is the Entrant’s responsibility to actively register as a Star Player.
1.7 Registered star players (hereafter referred to as “Star Players”) shall have an ‘S’ driver rating.
1.8 The real names of Star Players will be displayed during the broadcast of the “World Series Events”, the GT World Series Showdown Eventand the World Finals, in addition to their PSN IDs.
1.9 Once an Entrant has earned a Star Player driver rating, their rating shall apply to their driving profile for one successive Season only.
2. World Series Events
2.1 There shall be four (4) World Series Events which shall take place on the dates set out in clause 1.2.2.
2.2 The World Series Events Entrants shall be:
2.2.1 for World Series Events 1 & 2, top sixteen (16) Entrants selected from competitors by ranking order of the results who participated in the Nations Cup races at the World Finals event of the 2020 FIA Certified Gran Turismo™ Championships (held on 6 December 2020).
2.2.2 for World Series Events 3 & 4, top sixteen (16) Entrants selected from competitors by ranking order of the results who participate in the Nations Cup races at the 2021 GT World Series Showdown Event to be held on the dates set out in clause 1.2.3.
2.3 Entrants who compete in the “World Series Events” races shall be eligible to win World Series Events points towards their World Finals 2021 Nations Cup individual overall ranking, according to their position:
· 1st Place: 3 Points
· 2nd Place: 2 Points
· 3rd Place: 1 Point
3. GT World Series Showdown Event
3.1 The GT World Series Showdown Event will take place on the dates set out in clause 1.2.3.
3.2 Following the end of the Nations Cup Season 1, the three (3) top-ranking Entrants from the North American Region shall proceed to the GT World Series Showdown Event (‘Nations Cup Season 1 Entrants’). One (1) place is reserved for the 2020 Nations Cup World Finalists from the North American Region who participated in the FIA Certified Gran Turismo™ Championships 2020 Online World Finals, which took place on December 06, 2020 (‘Nations Cup Invited Entrants’). Together the ‘GTWorld Series Showdown Finalists’.
3.3 There shall be a maximum of two (2) Nations Cup Season 1 Entrants per Entrant Country (the ‘Country Cap’), up to a maximum of three (3) Entrants in total from the North American Region. Where an Entrant is ranked third in their Entrant Country, the next highest-ranking Entrant from a different Entrant Country shall advance to the GT World Series Showdown Event. This means that an Entrant ranked third or lower amongst the Entrants from their Entrant Country cannot be a GT World Series Showdown Finalist even if their score is higher than an Entrant placed in the top 2 of another Entrant Country.
3.4 If two or more Nations Cup Season 1 Entrants are tied with an equal number of points at the end of Season 1, the following criteria will then be applied to determine which Entrant is to proceed:
a) the Nations Cup Season 1 Entrant with the highest points scored across all Rounds;
b) and if still tied, then the Nations Cup Season 1 Entrant with the highest points scored in a single Round.
3.5 GT World Series Showdown Finalists will:
3.5.1 participate in a series of online races in Gran Turismo™ Sport, which will be defined by the Promoter and communicated to the World Tour Event Finalists via email no later than one (1) week prior to the event by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter
3.5.2 wear clothes/gloves provided by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter
3.5.3 display decoration elements which shall be provided by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter
3.5.4 participate in test sessions if requested by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter
3.5.5 participate in the races with driver cameras (provided by Polyphony Digital Inc on behalf of the Promoter) and take part in any other content related activities such as video chat interview sessions if requested by Polyphony Digital Inc, on behalf of the Promoter
3.5.6 refrain from communicating about the online races without explicit consent from Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter, including, but not limited to: streaming the races, distributing results, etc.
3.5.7 follow guidelines provided by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter regarding car liveries, driver liveries, car colour selection and other race related settings
3.5.8 use a Thrustmaster T-GT steering wheel and pedal set
3.6 GT World Series Showdown Finalists shall be awarded points based on their ranking in each race. The points earned by each Finalist shall be attributed to their score. The GT World Series Showdown Finalist with the highest total number of points after all races have taken place shall be the Winner of the GT World Series Showdown.
3.7 Points awarded to the winner and runners-up of the GT World Series Showdown according to their final position and will count towards the winner and runners-up standing for the World Finals, as follows:
· 1st place: 10 points
· 2nd place: 9 points
· 3rd place: 8 points
· 4th place: 7 points
· 5th place: 6 points
· 6th place: 5 points
· 7th place: 4 points
· 8th place: 3 points
· 9th place: 2 points
· 10th place: 1 point
3.8 Winners and runners-up of the GT World Series Showdown Event will win: 1st place: a Trophy, 2nd place: a Trophy, 3rd place: a Trophy.
3.9 The Promoter, and/or Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter, will contact Winners and Runners-Up within reasonable time at the email address provided by them in the GT Sport mode registration for the Nations Cup.
4. World Finals
4.1 The World Finals, an online event, shall take place on of November 5-7, 2021.
4.2 Following the end of Nations Cup Online Season 2, the three (3) top-ranking Entrants from the North American Region shall proceed to the World Finals (‘Nations Cup Season 2 Entrants’). Sixteen (16) places are reserved for the top 16 of the 2021 GT World Series Showdown Event. Together the “World Finalists”.
4.3 There shall be a maximum of two (2) Nations Cup Season 2 Entrants per Entrant Country (the ‘Country Cap’), up to a maximum of three (3) Entrants in total from the North American Region. Where an Entrant is ranked third in their Entrant Country, the next highest-ranking Entrant from a different Entrant Country shall advance to the Online World Finals. This means that an Entrant ranked 3rd or lower amongst the Entrants from their Entrant Country cannot be an Online World Finalist even if their score is higher than an Entrant placed in the top 2 of another Entrant Country.
4.4 If two or more Entrants are tied with an equal number of points at the end of a Season, the following criteria will then be applied to determine which Entrant is to proceed:
a) the Entrants with the highest points scored across all Rounds;
b) and if still tied, then the Entrant with the highest points scored in a single Round.
4.5 World Finalists will:
4.5.1 participate in a series of online races in Gran Turismo™ Sport, which will be defined by the Promoter and communicated to the World Finalists via email no later than one (1) week prior to the event by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter
4.5.2 wear clothes/gloves provided by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter
4.5.3 display decoration elements which shall be provided by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter
4.5.4 participate in test sessions if requested by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter
4.5.5 participate in the races with driver cameras (provided by Polyphony Digital Inc on behalf of the Promoter) and take part in any other content related activities such as video chat interview sessions if requested by Polyphony Digital Inc, on behalf of the Promoter
4.5.6 refrain from communicating about the online races without explicit consent from Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter, including, but not limited to: streaming the races, distributing results, etc.
4.5.7 follow guidelines provided by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter regarding car liveries, driver liveries, car colour selection and other race related settings
4.5.8 use a Thrustmaster T-GT steering wheel and pedal set
4.6 World Finalists will participate in a series of races. Points will be awarded according to results of these races. Taking into account any points carried over from the World Series Events and the GT World Series Showdown Event, a final ranking will determine winners and runners-up.
4.7 The Promoter, and/or Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter, shall provide information relating to the Online World Finals to the Online World Finalists by email to the email address provided by the Entrant in the GT Sport mode registration form for the Nations Cup.
4.8 Winners and runners-up of the World Finals will win: 1st place: a Trophy, 2nd place: a Trophy, 3rd place: a Trophy.
4.9 The Promoter, and/or Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter, will contact Winners and Runners-Up within reasonable time at the email address provided by them in the GT Sport mode registration for the Nations Cup.
5. Broadcasts of the World Series Events, GT World Series Showdown Event and the World Finals
5.1 By entering this Competition, Entrants confirm that they will permit the Promoter, and/or Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter, to include footage of their gameplay and their image/likeness in broadcasts of the World Series Events, GT World Series Showdown and the World Finals and on social media or blog posts connected to the Competition and subsequent years’ Gran Turismo Championships worldwide. To withdraw this consent, contact the Promoter.
5.2 By entering this Competition, Entrants confirm they will not communicate or discuss details about the Competition, including, but not limited to: results, images/video of the races, livestreams of the races, etc.
Schedule 2 – Manufacturer Series 2021
1. The Manufacturer Series
1.1. Entrants shall enter the Manufacturer Series by selecting the Manufacturer Series option within the “Sport” mode section of the Game, prior to the start of each race.
1.2. The Manufacturer Series shall only be online and will consist of the following:

Entrants race to represent one (1) of the following twenty-five (25) manufacturers (each a “Manufacturer”): Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Chevrolet, Citroën, Dodge, Ferrari, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Lexus, Mazda, McLaren, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault Sport, Subaru, Toyota, and Volkswagen.
1.4. Note: if an Entrant’s residential address does not fall within the Entrant Country that they are competing for that Entrant may be disqualified.
1.5. Entrants of the Manufacturer Series Seasons shall be awarded points based on:
1.5.1. their final position in each race; and
1.5.2. their average driver rating of the Entrants they race against in each race.
1.6. Entrants must participate in races during the Manufacturer Series Season to gain points which shall be used to calculate their overall ranking. To determine Entrants’ overall ranking, points will be tallied at the end of a series of Rounds, under each Season, as follows (the “Final Score”):
Season 1: The Final Score is tallied from the Entrant’s best four (4) Rounds, out of ten (10) Rounds (cumulative from Round 1 to Round 10).
Season 2: The Final Score is tallied from the Entrant’s best four (4) Rounds, out of ten (10) Rounds (cumulative from Round 1 to Round 10).
Entrants may participate in any race, in any Round of any Season, at their discretion. However, only the points earned in the last race of the day will count towards their Online Ranking for that Round. (i.e. if an Entrant competes in three races in Round 7 on June 05, 2021, only the points earned in the last of the three races will be counted).
1.7 Star Players
1.7.1 The following Entrants shall be eligible to register as a Star Player:
1.7.1.1 For Manufacturer Series Season 1: the thirty-six (36) Manufacturer Series World Finals participants of the 2020 FIA Certified Gran Turismo™ Championships – Manufacturer Series World Finals
1.7.1.2 For Manufacturer Series Season 2: the thirty-six (36) Manufacturer Series Finalists of the 2021 GT World Series Showdown Event.
1.8 Once an Entrant meets one of the conditions set out in paragraph 1.7.1 of this Schedule 2, they shall receive an in-game notification on Gran Turismo™ Sport, notifying them that they are eligible. Once they have received this notification, Entrants may register to become a Star Player by visiting gran-turismo.com. It is the Entrant’s responsibility to actively register as a Star Player.
1.9 Registered star players (hereafter referred to as “Star Players”) shall have an ‘S’ driver rating.
1.10 The real names of Star Players will be displayed during the broadcast of the World Series Events races, GT World Series Showdown and the World Finals, in addition to their PSN IDs.
1.11 Once an Entrant has earned a Star Player driver rating, their rating shall apply to their driving profile for one successive Season only.
2. World Series Events
2.1. There shall be four (4) World Series Events which shall take place on the dates set out in clause 1.2.2.
2.2. The World Series Events Entrants shall be:
2.2.1. for World Series Events 1 & 2, twelve (12) Entrants will be selected from competitors by ranking order of the results who participated in the Manufacturer Series races at the World Finals event of the 2020 FIA Certified Gran Turismo™ Championships held on December 05, 2020, selected by ranking order of the results. The top driver of each of the 12 Manufacturers from the 2020 World Finals Event shall be selected, according to the race finishing position and only if the top driver is contracted by the same Manufacturer in Season 1 of the 2021 Series. In the event that finishing positions are the same, selection will be made starting with the Grand Final > Race 2 > Race 1.
2.2.2. In the event that the selected World Series Events Entrants (as described in paragraph 2.2.1) are unable to participate in World Series Events 1 & 2, a participant contracted to the relevant Manufacturer for the 2021 Series – Season 1 will be invited, based on their race results, to become a World Series Entrant and shall be notified as such by the Promoter, or by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter.
2.2.3. for World Series Events 3 & 4, twelve (12) Entrants selected from competitors by ranking order of the results who participate in the Manufacturer Series races at the 2021 GT World Series Showdown to be held on the dates set out in clause 1.2.3. The top driver of the 12 Manufacturers from the 2021 GT World Series Showdown shall be selected, according to the race finishing position and only if the top driver is contracted by the same Manufacturer in Season 2 of the 2021 Series. In the event that finishing positions are the same, selection will be made starting with the Grand Final > Race 2 > Race 1.
2.2.4. In the event that the selected World Series Entrants (as described in paragraph 2.2.3) are unable to participate in World Series Events 3 & 4, a participant contracted to the relevant Manufacturer for the 2021 Series – Season 2 will be invited, based on their race results, to become a World Series Entrant and shall be notified as such by the Promoter, or by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter.
2.3. Entrants who compete in the “World Series Online Races” events shall be eligible to win World Series Events points for the corresponding Manufacturer towards the World Finals 2021 Manufacturer Series team ranking, according to their position:
· 1st Place: 3 Points
· 2nd Place: 2 Points
· 3rd Place: 1 Point
3. GT World Series Showdown Event
3.1. The GT World Series Showdown Event will take place on the dates set out in clause 1.2.3.
3.2. The selection of the GT World Series Showdown Finalists is determined by a combination of the following criteria:
3.2.1. Top-scoring Entrants from Season 1 (the “Representative Drivers”);
3.2.2. The Top 12 Manufacturers from Season 1 (selected in accordance with paragraph 3.4);
3.3. A total of three (3) World Tour Finalists will be selected to represent each manufacturer at the GT World Series Showdown; each from one of the below Participating Regions:
· Asia – Oceania
· EMEA
· Americas
3.4. A total of twelve (12) manufacturers will compete in the GT World Series Showdown according to the following criteria (in order of precedence) (the “Top 12 Manufacturers”):
3.4.1. Competition’s official Manufacturer Partner; and
3.4.2. the Global Manufacturer Ranking (as defined in paragraph 3.5 below)
3.5. At the end of each Season, a Global Manufacturer Ranking will be created, according to the following process:
3.5.1. The Manufacturers represented by the Entrants with the highest scores at the end of each Round for every Season will be allocated Manufacturer Ranking Points in accordance with the table below, in order to create a Manufacturer Ranking for each hosting Region, as follows:

3.5.2. At the end of each Season, the Manufacturer Ranking Points from all three (3) Regions will be tallied to determine their Global Manufacturer Ranking. The Global Manufacturer Ranking will be published on https://www.gran-turismo.com/world/gtsport/sportmode/ and also under the “Sport” section of the Game.
3.6. If two or more Representative Drivers from different manufacturers are tied with an equal number of points at the end of a Round, then the Manufacturer Ranking Points assigned to their manufacturers will be divided and assigned equally.
3.7. If two or more manufacturers are tied in the Global Manufacturer Ranking with an equal number of points, the following criteria will then be applied to determine which manufacturer is to proceed:
3.7.1. the manufacturer with the highest Manufacturer Ranking Points across all three Regions and all Rounds; and;
3.7.2. if still tied, the manufacturer with the highest number of individual points from the top drivers of all three regions of that manufacturer; and;
3.7.3. if still tied, then the manufacturer with the highest number of individual points from all rounds by the top drivers of all three regions of that manufacturer.
3.8. In the event that a GT World Series Showdown Finalist is unable to attend the GT World Series Showdown, the Entrant representing the same Manufacturer with the highest Season score from the Region with the next highest-ranking points may be invited to become an World Finalist and shall be notified as such by the Promoter, or Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter.
3.9. GT World Series Showdown Finalists will:
3.9.1. participate in a series of online races in Gran Turismo™ Sport, which will be defined by the Promoter and communicated to the Online GT World Tour Finalists via email no later than one (1) week prior to the event by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter.
3.9.2. wear clothes/gloves provided by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter
3.9.3. display decoration elements which shall be provided by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter
3.9.4. participate in test sessions if requested by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter
3.9.5. participate in the races with driver cameras (provided by Polyphony Digital Inc on behalf of the Promoter) and take part in any other content related activities such as video chat interview sessions if requested by Polyphony Digital Inc, on behalf of the Promoter
3.9.6. refrain from communicating about the online races without explicit consent from Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter, including, but not limited to: streaming the races, distributing results, etc.
3.9.7. follow guidelines provided by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter regarding car liveries, driver liveries, car colour selection and other race related settings
3.9.8. use a Thrustmaster T-GT steering wheel and pedal set
3.10. The standings of points for each Manufacturer team will determine the winning Manufacturer team and runners-up.
3.11. Points toward the World Finals standing will be awarded to the Manufacturer winner and runners-up of the GT World Series Showdown according to their final position, as follows:
· 1st place: 10 points
· 2nd place: 9 points
· 3rd place: 8 points
· 4th place: 7 points
· 5th place: 6 points
· 6th place: 5 points
· 7th place: 4 points
· 8th place: 3 points
· 9th place: 2 points
· 10th place: 1 point
3.12. Winners and runners-up of the GT World Series Showdown Event will win: 1st place: a Trophy,. 2nd place: a Trophy, 3rd place: a Trophy
3.13. The Promoter, and/or Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter, will contact Winners and Runners-Up within reasonable time at the email address provided by them in the GT Sport mode registration for the Manufacturer Series.
4. World Finals
4.1. The World Finals, an online event, shall take place on November 5-7, 2021.
4.2. The selection of the World Finals is determined by a combination of the following criteria:
4.2.1. Top-scoring Entrants from Season 2 (the “Representative Drivers”);
4.2.2. The Top 12 Manufacturers from Season 2 (selected in accordance with paragraph 4.4);
4.3. A total of three (3) World Finalists will be selected to represent each manufacturer at the World Finals; each from one of the below Participating Regions:
· Asia – Oceania
· EMEA
· Americas
4.4. A total of twelve (12) manufacturers will compete in the World Finals
selected according to the following criteria (in order of precedence) (the “Top 12 Manufacturers”):
4.4.1. Competition’s official Manufacturer Partner; and;
4.4.2. the Global Manufacturer Ranking (as defined in paragraph 4.5 below).
4.5. At the end of each Season, a Global Manufacturer Ranking will be created, according to the following process:
4.5.1. The Manufacturers represented by the Entrants with the highest scores at the end of each Round for every Season will be allocated Manufacturer Ranking Points in accordance with the table below, in order to create a Manufacturer Ranking for each hosting Region, as follows:

4.9. World Finalists will:
4.9.1. Participate in a series of online races in Gran Turismo™ Sport, which will be defined by the Promoter and communicated to the Online World Finalists via email no later than one (1) week prior to the event by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter.
4.9.2. wear clothes/gloves provided by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter
4.9.3. display decoration elements which shall be provided by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter
4.9.4. participate in test sessions if requested by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter

4.9.7. follow guidelines provided by Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter regarding car liveries, driver liveries, car colour selection and other race related settings
4.9.8. use a Thrustmaster T-GT steering wheel and pedal set
4.10. World Finalists will participate in a series of races. Points will be awarded according to results of these races. Taking into account points carried over from the World Series Events and the GT World Series Showdown, a final ranking will determine the winners and runners-up.
4.11. The Promoter, and/or Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter, shall provide information relating to the World Finals to the World Finalists by email to the email address provided by the Entrant in the GT Sport mode registration form for the Manufacturer Series.
4.12. Winners and runners-up of the World Finals will win: 1st place: a Trophy, 2nd place: a Trophy, 3rd place: a Trophy.
4.13. The Promoter, and/or Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter, will contact Winners and Runners-Up within reasonable time at the email address provided by them in the GT Sport mode registration for the Manufacturer Series.
5. Broadcasts of the World Series Events, GT World Series Showdown and the World Finals
5.1. By entering this Competition, Entrants confirm that they will permit the Promoter, and/or Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter, to include footage of their gameplay and their image/likeness in broadcasts of the World Series Events, GT World Series Showdown and the World Finals and on social media or blog posts connected to the Competition and subsequent years’ Gran Turismo Championships worldwide. To withdraw this consent, contact the Promoter.
5.2. By entering this Competition, Entrants confirm they will not communicate or discuss details about the Competition, including, but not limited to: results, images/video of the races, livestreams of the races, etc.
