חמש שנים לאחר מסעם המסוכן בארה"ב מוכת המגפה, אלי וג'ואל התיישבו בג'קסון שבמדינת ויומינג. החיים בקהילה משגשגת של שורדים העניקו להם שקט, שלווה ויציבות, על אף האיום המתמיד מצד אלה שנדבקו במגפה ומצד שורדים נואשים אחרים.
כשאירוע אלים מפר את השקט והשלווה, אלי יוצאת למסע חסר פשרות כדי למצוא צדק ולסגור את כל הקצוות הפתוחים. בעודה צדה את האשמים אחד אחרי השני, היא נאלצת להתמודד עם ההשלכות הפיזיות והרגשיות ההרסניות של מעשיה.
במשחק תיאלצו להתמודד עם הדילמות המוסריות שנגרמות בגלל המרדף חסר הפשרות של אלי אחר נקמה, שילכו ויהפכו להיות קשות יותר ככל שתתקדמו. מעגל האלימות שהיא יוצרת יאתגר את תפיסת עולמכם בכל הקשור להגדרות של צדק ופשע, טוב ורוע וגיבור ונבל.
שיטת משחק חדשה ומפותחת מעבירה בהצלחה את תחושת הסכנה שמאפיינת את מסעה של אלי בעולם העוין. בואו להשתתף בניסיון הנואש שלה לשרוד בעזרת תכונות משופרות כמו יכולת לחימה אינטנסיבית במספר אויבים, תנועה זורמת ויכולת התגנבות דינאמית. מגוון רחב של כלי נשק, כלי עבודה, יכולות ועדכונים יאפשרו לכם להתאים את יכולותיה של אלי לסגנון המשחק שלכם.
