Tribes of Midgard nova je igra u kojoj se igrači moraju oduprijeti nadolazećoj invaziji divova tijekom Ragnaröka.
Igra se odvija u svijetu mračnih stvorenja, skrivenih bogova i brojnih materijala koje trebaš otkriti. Igraš kao Viking koji živi u selu u kojemu se nalazi sjeme Yggdrasila, zadnja utvrda koja štiti bogove od drugih kraljevstava.
Istraži divljinu, izrađuj nova oružja i pripremi se na obranu svetog središta svog sela od sumornih sjena Helheima koje su se nadvile nad njega.
Sve to dok se divovi približavaju selu, prijeteći uništenju Midgarda i ispunjenju proročanstva o smaku svijeta.
