How to download your games and add-ons from PlayStation Store

Learn how to download your purchases online, or directly to your PlayStation®5 console or PlayStation®4 console.

How to download games and add-ons from PlayStation Store online

  1. Select Sign In at the top right of this page. 
  2. Select your avatar at the top right of this page > Game Library > Purchased.
  3. Select the game, and then select Download.
    On mobile devices, select the download icon.
  • To download add-ons, go to Game Library > Purchased. Then select the game, and scroll to the Add-Ons section. Select an add-on and choose Download from Library.
  • You need a PS5® console that is logged in with your account or a PS4® console that is activated as your primary PS4 console to download your content remotely.

  • To start a remote download, you need to set up automatic downloads for your console. If you haven't set up automatic downloads, the game will begin downloading when you next turn on your console.
Set up automatic downloads
  1. Go to Games home > Game Library > Your Collection.
  2. Select the game, and then select Download.
    The game will install automatically. Depending on the game, you may have the option to copy and play a portion of the game right away.
  • To download add-ons, go to Game Library > Your Collection. Then select the game, and scroll to the Add-Ons section. Select an add-on and choose Download.

  2. Select the game, and then select Download.
    The game will install automatically. Depending on the game, you may have the option to copy and play a portion of the game right away.
  • To download add-ons, go to Library > Purchased and select a game. Then choose PlayStation Store > Your Add-Ons and select the arrow icon beside the add-on to start downloading.
  1. Select the Game Library icon at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Select Purchased at the top of the screen.
  3. Select the game, and then select the Download to Console button.
  • To download add-ons, select the game on PlayStation®App and select Add-Ons. Select an add-on and choose the Download to Console button.
  • You need to link a console to download games remotely.

  • To start a remote download, you need to set up automatic downloads for your console. If you haven't set up automatic downloads, the game will begin downloading when you next turn on your console.
